The Lady Pioneers would pull ahead, and the Comets would charge back and cut the lead.  Late in the game, the Comets trailed 54-51 after a basket by Blaklee Sanders. North Ark answered with a basket of its own, when Chelsey Rowland was fouled and went to the free throw line. Rowland hit both shots to cut the deficit to three points again, but the Comets could not score again as they turned the ball over.
The loss dropped the Comets to 6-15 on the year. They will conclude their regular-season schedule on Thursday, March 1, when nationally-ranked North Arkansas visits the friendly confines of Hinkhouse Gymnasium. That game will tip off at 6 p.m.
