What is Founder's Day?
Founder's Day is one of the oldest, most cherished traditions at Cottey College. It began the first academic year, 1884-1885, on March 27 as a celebration of the birthday of Cottey's founder, Virginia Alice Cottey Stockard. The tradition has carried on over the hundreds of years, and, today, alumnae return to visit their alma mater, attend special events, and renew treasured friendships.
