Origins of Class Agent Program
The Class Agent program was created over 15 years ago to assist the alumnae office with Founder’s Day promotion. Through the years, it has evolved to include class fundraising and correspondence.
What is a Class Agent?
A Class Agent is the representative from each class that helps connect all classmates through regular communication and networking. This person also helps organize the class giving effort and hosts the class when they come for their reunion at Founder's Day.
What are the Class Agent's Responsibilities?
This year we hope to expand the Class Agent position to include
exciting new responsibilities and ways to keep in touch with your classmates as well as create a bond between your class and Cottey College.
A connection between your class and Cottey will require regular communication with your class about the work of Cottey College Alumnae Association Executive Board and the current happenings at the College. It will also necessitate the promotion of networking between classes and within your class.
Class Agent Responsibilities (tentative)
- Helping the College keep in contact with your classmates – passing along information to your class about fundraising, happenings at the College, recruitment information and more through e-newsletters and mailings
- Using social networking to create bonds with classmates
- Hosting your class during Founder’s Day Weekend and attending Class Agent meeting
- Organizing class giving projects
- Helping us create a database of “experts” and friends of the College within your class.
