Pearson, Fourth in Speaker Series, to Speak on Jan. 21

Carol S. Pearson, Ph.D. and D.Min., is the fourth speaker in the 2013-2014 Distinguished Speaker Series sponsored by Cottey College’s Institute for Women’s Leadership and Social Responsibility. She will speak on “Women’s Leadership for Transformational Change” on Tuesday, January 21, at 7 p.m. in the Missouri Recital Hall inside the Haidee and Allen Wild Center for the Arts. A reception will follow the address.

Dr. Pearson is an internationally known authority on archetypes and their application to every­day life and work. Her early work in this field produced books, monographs, and in­strumentation that have helped people all over the world find their purpose and to live more fulfilling and successful lives through an increase in their ar­chetypal narrative intelligence.

Her books include The Hero Within: Six Archetypes We Live By and Awakening the Heroes With­in: Twelve Archetypes to Help Us Find Ourselves and Transform Our World.

Currently, she is engaged in writing a guide to women’s suc­cess and fulfillment, serving as an advisor to organizations and their leaders, and responding to invitations for speaking engage­ments, leading workshops or trainings, and media interviews.

During her stay on the Cottey campus in January, Dr. Pearson will serve as Cottey’s Scholar-in-Residence.
