Author Ellen Gray Massey to Speak Feb. 8
Author Ellen Gray Massey and family members will be sharing history and writings on Friday, February 8, at 7 p.m. in the Missouri Recital Hall. The event is free of charge and open to the public.
Civil War, Ozarks, The Wayside Farm: Ellen Gray Massey has written about them all. Her recent books include Footprints in the Ozarks: A Memoir and also Our Robin is Read: Voices from The Wayside. The author of 29 books, who is a five-time recipient of the Missouri Writers Guild Best Book Award and long-time editor of Bittersweet, The Ozark Quarterly, is coming to Cottey College. She will be joined on stage by family members Carolyn Gray Thornton (author and columnist), Susan Thornton, and Shirley Garnett.
The Recital Hall is inside the Haidee and Allen Wild Center for the Arts on the northeast corner of Austin and Tower streets in Nevada, Missouri.
