Tania Archer to Speak on Nov. 6
Tania Archer, Canadian Olympic trials sprinter and executive lead in Archer Investment Group, will speak at Cottey College on Tuesday, November 6, at 7 p.m. in the Missouri Recital Hall of the Haidee and Allen Wild Center for the Arts. Her topic is Women's Leadership in Competitive Sports.
Archer attended the University of Alabama where she was a key team member of the Lady Tide. She placed eighth in the SEC championships as a freshman and had qualifying times for the NCAA championships as a junior and senior. She was invited to compete in the US Mobil Indoor Track and Field Championships in 1995 and 1996. Archer was one of the top 200 meter runners in the 1996 Canadian Olympic Trials.
Today Archer draws upon her national and international business experiences to positively affect and contribute to the growth of her family's wealth management firm, the Archer Investment Group, Inc.
Archer's speech is part of the Distinguished Speaker Series sponsored by Cottey's Institute for Women's Leadership and Social Responsibility. All presentations in the series are free of charge to the public. A reception will follow the presentation.
