Cottey College, Nevada, Missouri, will host its Ninth Annual Women’s College Fair from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 25, in the Haidee and Allen Wild Center for the Arts. The Women’s College Fair provides a forum that promotes outstanding educational opportunities for young women. 

Representatives from 11 women’s colleges across the United States will speak with prospective students and their parents that evening during the Fair. The attending colleges and universities include:  Agnes Scott (GA), Columbia College (SC), Converse College (SC), Cottey College (MO), Hollins University (VA), Mills College (CA), Notre Dame of Maryland (MD), Salem College (NC), St. Mary-of-the-Woods (IN), Stephens College (MO), and Wesleyan (GA).

Information on the baccalaureate options available at Cottey College will also be featured. Cottey baccalaureate degrees include: English, Environmental Studies, International Relations and Business, and Psychology. 

The event is free and open to the public. Cottey College’s Center for the Arts is located on the northeast corner of Austin Boulevard and Tower Street in Nevada.

Cottey College is located in Nevada, Missouri, approximately two hours south of Kansas City and one hour north of Joplin, Missouri. Its residential student capacity of 350 typically represents 40 states and 12-14 foreign countries. The College is owned by the P.E.O. Sisterhood, a philanthropic educational organization of over 250,000 members, making Cottey the only nonsectarian college in the U.S. owned and supported by women for women. In addition to select baccalaureate programs, Cottey College graduates with associate degrees transfer to four-year colleges and universities throughout the United States and around the world.
