The Cottey College Comets traveled to Harrison, Arkansas, to face the tenth-ranked team in the nation and lost to North Arkansas Community College 56-80.

The Lady Pioneers scored 40 points in each half and were never threatened by the Comets as they outscored them by 13 and 11 points respectively in each half. Cottey could not get anything going on the offensive end of the floor as they shot 38 percent from the field for the afternoon. To add insult to injury, the Comets hit only 12 of their 21 attempts from the free throw line.

Guard Jordan Davidson lead the team with 16 points, and Santana Cruz was also in double figures with 10 points. Bailey Braden led the Comets in rebounds with nine.

The loss dropped the Comets' record to 6-12 on the season. The next game for the Comets will be on Thursday, February 16, when they will face Penn Valley in a rematch. The game will tip off at 6 p.m. inside the friendly confines of Hinkhouse Gymnasium.
